Belize Limited Duration Company (LDC)

Belize's LDC is an equivalent to the LLC from US. Belize's LDCs are Incorporated under The Belize International Business Companies Act (IBC Act), as pass-through companies. They are governed by the internal “operating agreements”, as well as the LLCs.

It has a duration of 50 years, unlike other jurisdictions` LLC which can last 30 years. Said period most be included in one of the provisions of the Memorandum of Association, limiting the duration of the company up to 50 years from its incorporation date. The duration of the company can be renewed at the end of this period.
