Lithuania company types

In Lithuania it is possible to register different legal entities. Private Limited Liability Company (UAB) is the most common form of entity in Lithuania to start business (about 96% of all establishments). In Lithuania a private LLC is called UAB (uždaroji akcinė bendrovė) and means closed stock corporation. There are also other forms available in Lithuania like:

• Individual enterprise (IĮ)
• A private limited liability company (with the suffix UAB)
• A public limited liability company (with the suffix AB)
• General partnership (TUB)
• Limited partnership (KUB)
• Branch or representative office
• Association
• Agricultural company (with the suffix ZUB)
